Due to the overwhelming number of applications received, FELTspace is currently not accepting exhibition proposals for 2013.
FELTspace welcomes expressions of interest to exhibit in 2014. Please note, new proposals will be reviewed later in 2013 when we will schedule an exhibition proposal call-out. Please join our mailing list for updates.
Artists/curators of all shapes and sizes are encouraged to apply; however submitting a proposal is no guarantee of acceptance. There is no application form, but please refer to the following guidelines when submitting your proposal:
Cover Sheet_Include your name, mobile number, email address & postal address. Please provide all names in group/collaborative proposal applications. Please list preferred exhibition dates and the preferred exhibition space, i.e. front space/back space. (1 A4 Page)
Rationale_A brief, succinct outline of the main ideas/concepts informing your wider artistic practice and how these concepts might be developed/explored within your proposed exhibition at FELTspace. (Maximum 300 words)
Exhibition Description_A brief, technical, no-nonsense description of how you envisage the work might be installed in the space eg. “Large scale paintings occupying south wall, small scale sculpture (on plinths) occupying entirety of north wall” If there are any special requirements in terms of installation or equipment, mention them here. Be as specific as you can, but it doesn’t matter if changes occur later. We encourage continual development of the proposal rather than a ‘lock-down’ of your ideas and thoughts regarding the exhibition. (Maximum 300 words)
Selected CV or Biography_(please do not include employment details in your CV unless they directly apply to your arts practice)
Visual Material_DVD/CD (Maximum 10 images individual/ 20 images group) OR .mov file/DVD rom max. 5 min duration). Please do not send original materials. If you wish your materials to be returned, include an appropriately sized stamped self-addressed envelope with your application. FELTspace will not return material unless this is provided. We hold successful applicants visual material until their exhibition opening
Visual Material List_Include name, title, year and materials.
Cost_$300 for the front space with a $150 bond, $150 for the back space with a $100 bond
