Using Anna Gore’s Slime Time, FELTspace’s architecture and the visitors of the exhibition as a backdrop, two performers will kiss whilst wearing GoPro cameras strapped to their heads. The resulting footage captured from the heads of the kissing coupe will be projected onto the wall in a darkened Back Gallery.

My work is concerned with the private and intimate lives of others and our obsession and fascination with the documentation of them. Working predominantly in video, installation and occasionally, live performance, my work is critical of the documentation of the intimate lives of others, and of the subsequent voyeurism.

The One on One (watching us watching them) is an abstract response prompted by my ongoing series of documented dates inspired by romance reality television. It creates a self-reflexive environment for viewers of the kiss (mirroring viewers of reality television). Visitors of the exhibition will see themselves watching an intimate moment through the lens of a kiss. The documentation will focus on the viewer and the environment rather than on the kiss itself.
