“inside mumbling rain” is a translation of personal memory, inner speech and emotions into a visual language which examines the value of seeing and sharing internalised experience. As a body of work, it tries to make sense and find meaning in thoughts of personal significance, social surroundings and everyday life. Internalised imagery, sensations and thoughts found in inner speech are ruminated upon, combined and materialised into paintings and sculptures. Using both figuration and abstraction, free flowing associations are made between inner voices, imagery and memories, questioning what can be found by paying attention to the meaning present in the personal, mental and internal.
