FELTspace presents Subjectify Me as the final exhibition for 2014. Curated by FELTspace Co- Director Ray Harris, this exhibition features the work of both emerging and renowned performance and video based artists Brown Council, Madison Bycroft, Kate Mitchell, Faye Mullen(Canada), Hannah Raisin, and Kawita Vatanajyankur.

Subjectify Me explores the subject and object by exhibiting all female artists who performatively embody both within their work. Each of the artist's invited to exhibit have diverse and differing practices but connections can be made in the way they all use their body and subjective experience as material; their bodies are subjectified not objectified. In developing the curatorial rationale for this exhibition, Ray Harris investigated the performative turn used by theorists like Judith Butler that all our self and subjectivity is a constructed performance from our gender to our personality to our artistic expression. The artists of Subjectify Me take that notion to physically perform profound actions, to subject themselves to the action and experience of the work.
