Hana Hoogedeure and Luke O’Donnell have had an ongoing collaborative practice for the last four years in performance and installation. The duo met sharing a studio Sydney College Arts in 2013, and began making work together as an entertaining, playful approach to working intimately in a shared space.

Their work investigates play, communication, light-heartedness and what it means to work together. These relationships are explored through comic appropriation of pop culture and via a slapstick physical humour.

The exhibition, ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’ examines the functionality and repercussions of this collaborative relationship and is concerned by the physical restrictions of two people making art, and references other creative collaborative duos, such as lifestyle, cooking and renovation TV shows. Their work will be presented as an installation of selected performance projects displayed as multiple videos. The show considers relationships, codependency and collaborative practice.
