FELTspace provides artists opportunities to develop and present new experimental work that engages audiences in critical enquiry. As a platform and testing ground run for and by artists, FELTspace is a vital part of the South Australian arts ecosystem, as well as the national network of artist-run initiatives (ARI). In fact, FELTspace is the longest running ARI in Adelaide.

FELTspace provides a space for artists to resist, challenge, wonder and experiment and for an opportunity for audiences to experience art unrestrained by commercial imperatives - crucial ingredients for a healthy society. A society that can embrace difference, question power and critically engage with one another.

In a rapidly changing world, this matters now more than ever, as online echo chambers diminish our capacity for critical conversation and contemporary art is increasingly focussed on the pretty and the palatable.
