Finding a Voice draws upon the artists experience of learning a second language, specifically focusing on the physical and psychological disconnection experienced between mind and body.

Nina Ross is a Melbourne based photography and video artist who is currently a Master of Fine Art (Research) candidate at Monash University, Melbourne. Ross received a Bachelor of Arts (Media Arts) at RMIT University in 2004 and in 2006 completed an Honours degree in Fine Art, also at RMIT. She has exhibited throughout Australia, including at Peloton, Sydney; Queensland Centre for Photography; Screen Space, Melbourne; the National Gallery of Canberra and has also been included in group shows internationally. Ross has also received various grants including the City of Melbourne Young Artist Grant. Ross' video work will also be included in Experimenta's 5th international media arts festival in Australia later this year as well as at One night only in Oslo, Norway in September.
