Will Nolan's most recent artworks explore themes of authenticity, ownership and how the photographic image is represented today. Nolan has great respect for the photography medium and uses a variety of cameras and techniques to produce his artworks. What concerns him is the overwhelming abundance of photographs that are seen in today's environment. We cannot escape from the influx of images on social media, websites and on smart phones. The camera has been placed in everyone's hands and the need to publicly document our lives in great detail is ever more present. In response to this Nolan has created a series of artworks that attempts to slow down the viewers involvement with the image and to provide a place to ponder its context.
