Table Spoon is Canberran artist Jacqueline Bradley's first Adelaide solo exhibition. Her delicate sculptural work brings together household objects, building materials, fabric and wallpaper to explore the idea home and a sense of place. In Table Spoon cups are joined by concertinas sewn from paper, chairs are piled high to create a hiding space beneath. These works are objects of intrigue and whimsy, investigating construction of home and identity in an Australian society and how this idea of home is created, constructed and carried.
Jacqueline has exhibited at the Canberra Contemporary Art Center, M16 (artist run initiative), Australian National University: School Of Art Gallery, and Australian National Capital Artist's Gallery. She has also been shortlisted twice (2009 and 2010) for Qantas Foundation Encouragement of Australian Contemporary Art Award.
