Exploring the way art is valued, Sell Out exists as a performative and interactive exhibition with the act of obtaining as loaded as the works themselves.  Instead of individually purchasable works, with prices reflecting complexity or production costs, all works will be $40 and assigned to the purchaser by chance.

The construct creates an exciting and slightly uneasy exchange wherein art is so obtainable as to elicit a reaction and conversation.  This is also an investigation into how I value my own work, knowing that the works I create could equally be treasured or disregarded by the people who receive them.
