FELTspace is participating in the CACSA's: THE NEW NEW for the month of November.

FELTspace presents two artists concerned with the domestic space- Sally-Ann Rowland and Linda Marie Walker

CACSA CONTEMPORARY 2010: THE NEW NEW is a multi-sited Adelaide visual art project conceived and curated by Executive Director Alan Cruickshank with Curator Peter McKay to present the very latest in quality South Australian contemporary visual art, involving forty-four artists across twelve venues—including the Glenelg-to-city tram, the CACSA and other galleries, Rundle Lantern, Victoria and Whitmore Squares, and the major exhibition point, (the long-empty building) The Gallerie, on North Terrace.

Artist Bio'sSally-Ann Rowland received her Bachelor of Visual Arts degree, SA School of Art, University SA, 1997. In 2000 she travelled to New York and undertook a Masters in Fine Art, Columbia University, having received an Anne & Gordon Samstag International Visual Arts Scholarship. In 2002-03 she was the recipient of an Australia Council Studio residency at PS1 Contemporary Art Centre, New York. Rowland has exhibited in Adelaide at the Australian Experimental Art Foundation, Contemporary Art Centre of SA and the Samstag Museum of Art. She has also had numerous exhibitions in the USA, including ZieherSmith and Guild & Greyshkul, New York, Mark Moore Gallery in Los Angeles and Western Exhibitions, Chicago.

Linda Marie Walker is an artist, writer and curator, and Senior Lecturer, School of Art, Architecture and Design, University of South Australia; she holds a Doctor of Philosophy, University of Western Sydney. Her interests are in conceptual and minimalist art practices, experimental writing practices, ficto-critical research methodologies, electronic thinking, spatial-relations, bodies, and movement. In recent years she has produced object-based works in the form of writing for writing, which have usually contained the work of another artist or writer. Her most recent work Room, was shown in the Noel Sheridan Project Space, Australian Experimental Art Foundation. Her most recent essay, 'Tender and true; the place the time the particle', was published in IDEA Journal, Queensland University of Technology.
