FELTSpace is looking for new co-directors!
FELTspace is an not-for-profit artist-run initiative that supports, develops and presents emerging, Experimental, and diverse exhibitions and public programs. Our gallery is located at 266 Angas Street, Kaurna Yarta, Adelaide.
Established in 2008 with an exhibition space at the heart of Adelaide's Central Market district, FELTspace has quickly become a centre for the emerging contemporary visual arts community. The gallery remains an important site for the development, exhibition and discussion of new work by emerging and recognised visual artists in South Australia.
FELTspace has a focus on promoting emerging and early career artists, with opportunities for more established artists to show in a non-commercial and non-institutional space.

Wanted Roles at FELTspace
The Gallery Manager (Co-Director) will join our board of directors who run the operations of FELTspace, along with assistance from our Gallery Administrator. Ensure the gallery space is safe, functional, well maintained and exhibition ready at all times.
The Gallery Manager is responsible for overseeing the physical upkeep, infrastructure, equipment and security of the gallery, liaising with the landlord and external contractors, and leading improvements to the space including accessibility, lighting and technical systems. This role plays a vital part in supporting artists, audiences and public programming by maintaining a professional, welcoming and reliable exhibition environment.
The Fundraising Officer (Co-Director) plays a vital role in strengthening the sustainability and growth of FELTspace. Working collaboratively with the Board of Co-Directors, this position is responsible for developing and delivering fundraising strategies that support the financial stability of FELTspace, assisting in our ongoing support of South Australia’s experimental arts community.
The role focuses on nurturing and developing meaningful relationships with donors, sponsors and community supporters, and delivering engaging fundraising initiatives, including the annual End of Financial Year (EOFY) appeal. This position is volunteer based.
The Studio Manager (Co-Director) is a FELTspace Co Director position. You will join our board of directors that run the operations of FELTspace, along with assistance from our Gallery Administrator. The Studio Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing our new studio program which we will commence in 2026. As the Studio Manager you will help to establish our program through researching and liaising with other studios to decide the best model to run our studio program, organise a studio call out, select artists along with the other board members, manage the running of the studio and its long term operational framework.
You will receive a short term mentorship from Rayleen Forester as this is a new Co-Director position.
